Happy Lily

Have you ever seen such a happy baby??

Showing Mommy the ball...

"My ball"

Peek-a-boo! She loves the camera!

Soooo ready to take off crawling!

And a quick video. I was hoping to get a video of her scooting, but as soon as I started recording, she stopped scooting... Sorry it's so dark and grainy..anyone know a good electritian who could put some more light in our living room?

The funniest part of this is that after I turned off the camera, she started playing pat-a-cake! LOL I guess I gave up too early! Oh, and I'm laughing because both Zeus AND Matt walked in front the camera TWICE while I was taking the video. The beeping in the background is APril playing with the Simon game Andrew got for Christmas.

MINE!

Now, Lily can't actually SAY "mine" yet, but she certainly has the concept! I made quesadillas for dinner. I had one in my hand and I was carrying Lily in the other hand. She reached for my quesadilla so I broke off a piece and handed it to her. She shoved it in her mouth lightning fast and then snatched the rest out of my hand! :o I tried to take it back because she's not so smooth with the solid foods yet and I wanted to give her smaller pieces, but she tucked it up against her chest and curled her body around it! When I tried more agressively to get it away from her, she held it over her head and as far away from me as she could get it. Everytime I got close to snagging it, she would move it away again! It was hilarious and so cute! Finally I just gave up. She gnawed on that quesadilla and worked really hard getting bites off of it (no teeth yet...), so I offered my help tearing off pieces but she just would not have it! Like before, she played keep-away with MY quesadilla! LOL Her perserverence paid off, though. She put away the vast majority of that piece all by herself!

Lily said "hi!"

Today Lily was sitting on Dan's lap in the basement. I came down the stairs and around the cornor and she looked up and said "Hi!" It was soooo cute and sooooo obvious! So....she's talking now?!?! Later on tonight she was sitting on my lap and I said "Lily, say Hi!" and she said "Hi!" Now I wish I had this stuff on video, but I don't, so you will just have to take my word for it! It's just amazing all of the changes that are happening with her lately!

Lily the tease

Lily has learned a new trick....Today I got her some banana bread for a snack. She took it and just held it in her hand like "What am I supposed to do with this?" so I took a bite. She thought that was pretty darn funny so she held the bread up to my mouth again and when I went to take a bite she snatched it away and tucked it up against her chest! LOL Now THAT was the funniest thing on earth and she did it over and over and over, just giggling up a storm! Offering Mommy the treat and then snatching it away! She teased Daddy with the banana bread, too. What a stinker!

The big 10 month old (ok, not so big, really)

She is so curious!

And such a ham!

She pushes up and it almost looks like she could just take off crawling!

I think she could crawl if she just tried to (didn't I say that about sitting too and then one day she just did it suddenly?)

And, as always, smilng big for the camera!

She is SUCH a happy baby!
